Course Description

Environmental management is becoming integral to how organizations operate, compete, and remain compliant. This 2-day course builds your foundational understanding of ISO 14001:2026 and equips you to recognize its requirements and intent, regardless of your role or industry.

Whether you are implementing an environmental management system, preparing for an audit, supporting compliance efforts, or simply need to understand what the standard requires, this course helps you understand the "why" behind each requirement and how it applies in practice. You will explore EMS principles, the process approach that underpins modern systems thinking, and then work through the standard clause by clause — from establishing your context and strategy through to continuous improvement.

The course is designed for all practitioners and anyone needing awareness of them, you do not need prior EMS experience to succeed.

NOTE: A copy of ISO 14001: 2026. It is required. Participants are expected to come with their own copies of the standards; reference copies will be on loan during the course but will not be included in the materials.
